Guru Har Rai Ji was born on January 16, 1630, in Kiratpur Sahib, Lahore Subah, Mughal Empire (present-day Pakistan). He became the seventh Sikh Guru on March 19, 1644, following the footsteps of his grandfather, Guru Hargobind Ji.
